VIDEO: First module for Gorgon’s Train 3 delivered

All hydrotesting activities on the four monoethylene glycol tanks required for Train 1 start-up have been completed, while 16 of the 17 modules for Train 2 are on their foundations.

Development of the carbon dioxide injection project is also progressing with drilling activities complete on all nine injection wells.

Construction has also started on the surface facilities at the injection drill centres and the carbon dioxide compressor module has been placed on its foundations.

An update on the Gorgon Project’s progress for the first quarter of 2015.

The Gorgon Project is currently on track for first LNG in mid-2015.

Joint venture interests in the project include Chevron (operator, 47 per cent), ExxonMobil (25 per cent), Shell (25 per cent), Osaka Gas (1.25 per cent), Tokyo Gas (1 per cent), and Chubu Electric Power (0.417 per cent).
