Bass set for Bunian-5

Bass said the contracted Pertamina Drilling Service Indonesia (PDSI) Rig 20/Emsco D2 is mobilising to site at the Tangai-Sukananti KSO in Sumatra, Indonesia, with drilling is expected to commence soon. Bunian-5 is a development well which Bass expects will double field production to around 1,400 bbl/day, as well as increase the developed recoverable resources and test the potential of two secondary reservoir levels. The well will be drilled from the surface location of the Bunian-4 deviated well and is planned to spud in late September; the well is expected to be drilled and brought online after approximately 30 days. Bass operates the Tangai-Sukananti KSO with a 55 per cent interest, while Mega Adhyaksa Pratama Sukananto holds the remaining 45 per cent. The field is expected to be operational until 20205.
